Project 21 aims to provide caregivers the affordable access to fall-risk analysis tools to allow them track and analyze fall-risk levels for their elderly more conveniently.
It also helps physiotherapists reduce the need for them to physically visit the elderly to perform preliminary diagnosis by providing the elderly's gait data to them through a web platform. The platform holds gait data uploaded by the caregivers and helps physiotherapists visualize and analyze their fall risk more conveniently, so that priority for treatment can be given to those who need it more urgently.
I'm involved in the project as the lead full-stack developer.
Won 1st place in a month-long hackathon hosted by NUS, themed around giving superpowers to children, specifically those with cerebral palsy
This month long hackathon is themed around 'giving superpowers to children', especially those with disabilities such as muscular dystrophy or cerebral palsy. After doing preliminary research on existing products that are on the market, we realise that many gesture based control wearable systems require the users to perform specific gestures that may not be convenient or easy for the disabled to perform. So, instead of having the users learn the gestures, we decided to create a product that will learn the users' gestures instead, allowing them to perform gestures that are catered to their needs in order to perform simple tasks.
